Embrace Your Inner Landscape
The refuge from daily stress you are yearning for lies within you.
You just need to find your way back to it when your practice feels unsettling.
Maybe you started yoga:
- To relieve stress
- To get better control on your emotions; or
- To feel better.
But the feel good effect you might have experienced at the beginning has lately been eluding you. In fact, instead of feeling better, more often than not you might actually be feeling off during and after your practice.
It often feels lonely and disheartening when yoga turns out to be disturbing and very activating, instead of being one of the most peaceful parts of your day.
Rarely do we know what to do with these overwhelming experiences.
If you are lucky, your teacher might give you some helpful advice. But more often, we hear things like this:
- “Listen! It’s all about being with what is!”
- “Be kind to yourself.”
- “Do not provide any oxygen to your distress, and it will go away!”
- “Maybe you need to go to a therapist?”
When I know how painful and confusing it feels to hear this when you are already upset: I have been there too!
No matter how upsetting this discomfort is, it is actually a sign that your practice is working well.
You are invited to expand your heart beyond your habits of reacting to your emotions, numbing them, or repressing them.
Instead, your practice is showing a need for integration. All long-time students of yoga have experienced this distress on their path.
This might not be what you wanted from your yoga practice. But this is what makes yoga a spiritual journey, rather than an ordinary workout, or activity on your to-do-list to get yourself under control.
Yoga has the power to transform you from inside out by helping you find how to feel safe and at home in yourself, so that you can welcome the unwelcomed…
I would be honored to show you how.
Hi, I’m Charlene,
I believe that healing is a magical moment that takes you by suprise.
Together, let’s create the supportive conditions for this magic to arise!
Curious to know how, click on the link below.
Johanna’s Story
Before my 1:1 session
“I was feeling very nervous and restless during and after my yin yoga practice. It was unsettling me.”
After my session
“Charlene showed me how to care for myself and support myself, through restorative yoga, in a way that felt so yummy and nourishing. I never offered myself so much attention and love before. I was even able to sleep during the yoga nidra that followed. I left the session feeling so relaxed, at peace, but also full of aliveness as if I was illuminated from inside.”
Yoga Is Meant To Be A Spiritual Path.
A practice that changes your relationship with all aspects of your life.
But most of the settings where it is practiced, don’t have the capacity to hold space for this transformation to safely come into being.
Maybe you’re practicing…
FROM HOME
It’s so enjoyable to have the flexibility of practicing yoga from home. And it’s beautiful that you have the curiosity to fulfill your interest in yoga with the resources available online.
However, most of online yoga studios and apps don’t come with any level of support. You’re alone in front of your video, left to figure things out on your own, with no one to ask questions to.
When difficult emotions or physical sensations arise, no one is there to guide you back into a state where you feel grounded, calm, and safe in your own skin. When you feel upset during or after your practice, it’s natural to judge yourself for doing something wrong.
IN YOUR LOCAL GYM
This is a wonderful way to discover yoga and give it a try. However, when you’re entering a gym you’re often entering a mindset of needing to push yourself and work up a sweat.
Since most of the people who attend these classes get in, do the “workout” and get out, the emphasis is on exercising the body to improve your physical condition and appearance.
It’s then easy to completely miss the spiritual dimension of yoga, and to see yoga as just another thing to tick off your to-do list. When your practice gets rough, it’s difficult not be judgmental of yourself and think that “you’re not making it somehow.”
IN A YOGA STUDIO
If you can find a yoga studio that teaches the full depth and breadth of the yogic path: that’s amazing! However, those studios are still rare to find these days.
Most of the students come to enjoy an asana practice. Even if some philosophical concepts are introduced here and there, it’s very difficult to apply the bits and pieces that you hear, while moving on your mat, to your inner challenges.
You might also find that the idea of what an “advanced” student is, is misleading. Very often when an “advanced workshop” is offered, it’s all about doing more physically at-risk postures. This creates a lot of self-judgment, doubt, and confusion about what the yogic path is all about in students.
Regardless of what setting you’re practicing in, if you’re feeling emotionally unsettled, or physically in pain during or after your yoga class, you probably need more care and support than what you are receiving right now.
Hi, I’m Charlene
For more than 15 years, I was struggling with difficult emotions arising suddenly, during and after my yoga practice, before I finally discovered why.
Some days, my morning practice felt very grounded and made me feel good. But others, the same yoga sequence left me feeling shaky, irritable, and even sometimes so vulnerable that I could easily cry without any obvious reason.
I don’t want you to struggle in the dark for as long as I did.
My role, in your private sessions is to guide you into a new understanding of what is going on for you in those challenging times, and to support you to find a path forward.
I can show how to embrace yoga as a spiritual path, so that your practice could help you restore and cultivate a sense of safety within you. I am here to help you discover a new way of accepting and transforming your emotions and painful sensations in your body, and to support you find within yourself the resilience to be lovingly present to all of your inner challenges.
This is how you can change difficult aspects of your life and reinvent yourself consciously thanks to your yoga practice.
I can’t wait to show you how!

What Does It Mean To Embrace Your Inner Landscape?
Embracing Your Inner Landscape is all about learning how to embody your experience. It comes down to you honoring the parts of you that needs your care and befriending them with loving presence.
The key to this process is to learn how to access the core of your being: this place within you that can witness and be at peace with everything that arises without being mesmerized by its intensity. Helping you discover and familiarize yourself, again and again, with this inner refuge is the essence of Embrace Your Inner Landscape Sessions.
If you are currently practicing yoga to put aside your daily concerns or, to run away from the most stressful parts of your life, learning how to Embrace Your Inner Landscape will totally transform your practice, your relationship with your body, and it will grow your appreciation for your life. It will also enable yoga to be here for you, rather than to be an escape from your inner world.
In this way, your yoga practice can become an amazing self-discovery journey.
The Benefits of The Embrace Your Inner Landscape Process

Create Safety In Your Body
Most people try to push themselves to do more and more complicated poses as they progress in their yoga practice. It’s often perceived as a sign of being an advanced student.
However, if you’re experiencing challenging emotions or pain when you practice yoga, this is an indication that your nervous system is in hyper-arousal, which will automatically tense your muscles. If you try to stretch deeper and/ or faster at this point you run the risk of hurting yourself.
In this state, what you need is to slow down and to learn how to relax into your body, with restorative yoga and yoga nidra. This will help your nervous system to calm down and improve your emotional resilience.

Discover How To Be Less Reactive And Put Your Challenges In Perspective
You are so much more than the challenges you’re experiencing. When you feel safe enough to explore your inner world instead of avoiding it, you can better understand that your negative emotions or pain are just a small part of you.
You also realize you have vibrant, energized, grounded and peaceful parts of yourself.
Embodying the whole dimension of who you are in this way makes it easier to welcome the challenging, painful, or activating parts of you with an open heart and a non-judgmental mind.

Nurture Your Creativity
When you start practicing yoga with a willingness to really take care of your body’s needs and listen to what your inner wisdom is expressing, your creative mind becomes very engaged in your practice.
Rather than just going through the motion, you start to become fully present on your mat, which is the best antidote to overthinking. So, if you have been experiencing anxiety, racing thoughts, or bad memories flashing into your mind when you practice, this process will help.
You will experience more awareness, clarity and joy on your mat. You will also become more skilled at finding creative solutions to daily problems outside of your time on the mat.

Develop the Resilience And Confidence To Welcome All Your Emotions
Do you avoid practicing yoga because you don’t feel safe exploring your emotions? This fear is very wise! It’s a sign that a part of you knows that, for the moment, you don’t have the resources to welcome your experience.
This healing process will provide you with all the resources and support you need to dissolve this dissociation between you and your inner world. Gradually, you will be able to welcome the fragmented parts of you with tenderness and love. To feel that they have always been there to keep you safe, while being capable of releasing them from their duty to protect you in this old way that is not fulfilling anymore.

Learn How To Trust Yourself & Honor Your Needs And Boundaries
Have you ever felt very uncomfortable in some yoga poses, but still pushed yourself to go through the discomfort to follow the motion of the class you were in? That’s an indication that you’re not honoring your boundaries and your inner wisdom.
By learning to be aware of what you feel in each pose, and respecting what comes through, you practice setting healthy boundaries on your mat. Not only will this improve your strength and flexibility over time, but it will also ease your relationship with yourself and with others.
You will be less dependent on others’ opinions, knowledge, and beliefs, and more likely to trust your inner wisdom.

Improve Your Intuitive Abilities
Many people think that intuition is an esoteric skill where you receive messages from the spirit realm. My approach to spirituality is a bit different. In my experience, intuition lives in your nervous system, in your energy, and in your awareness. The more you allow yourself to deeply feel your experience, the more intuitive you become.
It is the result of all the information that shapes your experience — your thoughts, your emotions, your sensations, your beliefs — coming into coherence. This coherence often manifests as self-confidence, trust, or intuitive knowing. It then become easier to make the best decision for yourself, simply because the messages that you receive from within you are consistent.
Anna’s Story
Before the session
“I was very afraid to be alone and to connect with my body. It felt so unsafe to practice yoga nidra, which previously I found so relaxing and calming, because it activated so much anger and frustration within me.”
After the session
“Working with Charlene has been a truly transformative experience. Her approach is incredibly gentle and supportive, allowing me to feel safe and open during our sessions. I was amazed at how easily she helped me cut through some long-standing blocks that I’ve struggled with for years.
I highly recommend her to anyone seeking a compassionate and effective healing practitioner.”
How Can We Work Together?
2-hour transformative sessions consisting of somatic and creative explorations as well as energy healing, tailored just for you.
What To Expect From Each Session?
This will not feel at all like a typical private yoga class. Each session incorporates an energy healing, based on my 13 years professional practice as an acupuncturist and a reiki master. That’s what gives these sessions their transformative healing power.
Each session will have the same main objective: to connect you with your natural potential for resilience, inner peace, and contentment. I can assure you that a wise part of you knows how to unlock this potential within you.
By adapting the content of each session to your unique needs, we will reignite your confidence in your ability to hold your experience with openness, curiosity, and compassion. When you will be able to do this, you will feel nurtured and inspired to continue your spiritual path, in your own unique way.
These sessions are not meant to replace your existing practice. They are here to deepen and rekindle your enthusiasm for your personal journey.
Optional Step 1: Book Your 60-Minute Free Discovery Call
After reading the information on this page, if you are still unsure whether this healing process is what you need right now, I invite you to book a one hour discovery call with me. This call is complementary and is only here to help you decide if I am the right person to support you or not.
I believe it is very important for you to get a taste of how I work with my clients. Therefore, during the first 45-minutes of this call, you will be invited to try one of the healing processes that you could eventually explore further if you choose to work with me. This is why, when you register for this call, I will ask you few questions to be able to tailor the short practice I will offer you accordingly. The last 15-minutes of this call, we will address any questions and concerns you might have regarding the sessions.
Before You Get Started
I believe it’s incredibly important for you to know exactly what to expect from our work together.
Not only does this bring you a sense of comfort to understand the process I will lead you through, but it also ensures that you’re physically and emotionally safe during our sessions. That’s why I’ll get you to fill in a liability waiver before we meet, so you are well-informed of how I can and can’t support you. This is a way to establish clear and secure boundaries between us.
Here’s the link toward the Here’s the link toward the liability waiver document.
Step 2: Your Intake Session
In order to learn about your unique needs, I will also ask you to book a 60-minute intake call with me. This is to learn more about you, by asking you few questions to have a clear understanding of your challenges, your goals, and your expectations for your healing sessions. I will also lead you into short explorations to get a better idea of which healing tools will resonate with you the most. This intake session will enable me to customize the most appropriate healing process for you, to ground you and restore your serenity straight from our first 2-hours healing session together.
The cost of this intake call is included in the price of your first session. When you book your first session you will first make an appointment for this 60-minute intake call with me. Then, I will send you a private link to schedule your 2-hours transformative session at no additional cost.
I will need at least 3 working-days in-between the intake session and the transformative session to integrate the information I will have learn from you into a personalized healing process.
Step 3: Your First Session
If you are feeling emotionally unsettled or struggling with physical pain, it is normal to feel resistance and even fear to connect with your body. At this point of your healing journey, learning how to feel safe again in your own skin is an essential step.
This is why, during your first session, you will learn how to reclaim your natural ability to feel good in your body, to rest, and to relax.
To do so, we’ll explore grounding practices like:
- Restorative Yoga & Yoga Nidra.
- Simple gesture to release the control of the meridian governing your reactivity.
- Self-massage and acupressure so you can receive the healing energy of the earth.
- Toning, breathing, and healing gestures to reassure and revive your vagus nerve.
On the long run, the practices you will learn during this first session will help you welcome all your inner and outer challenges, while remaining grounded, awake, and compassionate towards yourself.
John’s Story
Before the session
“I arrived in with a lot of fear, anger, and frustration. I was procrastinating at work and was running away from all the practices that had been helpful to ground me in the past, which made me mad at myself.”
After the session
“My session with Charlene transformed my day, completely turned it around. I left feeling at peace with myself, filled with a renewed courage to let my values connect me to the world. Charlene’s kindness and ability to navigate between techniques to address my specific needs have changed my life.”
In-Between Your Healing Sessions
When you’ve completed your first healing session, if you feel the need to sincerely share your process with me before taking another 2-hour sessions, I would love to be here for you. This is why I have created ‘’Witnessing Sessions’’.
These sessions are here for you to be able to have a safe, and non-judgmental space to openly share what is alive in you. They are not made to help you process what you are going through, like psychotherapy does. They are also not made to help you go deeper in your healing process, or to receive advices.
In this session, I am here to be with you, and to be lovingly present to your inner world with you, so that it becomes easier for you to be with yourself, and simply feel what you feel.
Sometimes people need to talk a lot during these one-hour sessions. Sometimes people prefer to stay silent with me most of the time. Both of these scenarios are welcomed to this witnessing space.
My wish for you is that at the end of this hour together, you feel seen, heard, felt and cared for… and therefore, more grounded with the natural flow of your life.
Our Spiritual Path Is Never A Linear Journey.
It is more like the constant cycles of the moon, spiralling from darkness into light, and vice versa.
When we start our spiritual journey, many of us think that we will diligently do the practices given by our teachers and consequently, our life will become less and less difficult, more and more manageable. Even if this belief can feel true at some point on your path, it describes only a small part of your spiritual journey.
Life is up and down, and whether you have a spiritual practice or not, you will face challenges. Sometimes, those adversities will exceed the resilience you have developed and cultivated through your practice. Sometimes, your practice itself will reveal your inner resistance to life. Your spiritual practice will not give you any control over this.
However, the attuned to your inner experience you become, the less aversion and struggle you will have when challenges arise. You will become more kindhearted towards what is happening inside you, when you will find yourself being reactive, or being in pain. Simply because you will have the outer and inner resources to come back to the best part of you.
Here Is How I Can Support You Through The Different Phases Of Your Spiritual Journey:

Phase 1: Rest, Soften, Regenerate
If you need to find more relaxation and serenity within your body, we might explore practices like restorative yoga and yoga nidra to restore a sense of ease and safety in your nervous system.
We might also add some gentle hatha yoga focusing on stability, grounding, and activating your inner core. As well as calming breathwork, and energy work to help you receive the energy of the earth. It all depends on your preferences and what supports you the most.
This first phase is often deeply healing. Lot of transformation happens by learning how to better embody your experience. This is a phase I encourage you to visit again and again on your spiritual journey.

Phase 2: Deepen Your Relationship With Your Inner Wisdom
We can move onto this phase if we have established that you are capable of grounding and resourcing yourself well.
At this stage, you might still feel disconnected from your inner voice and we need to support you descending into your body, to lessen the chatter of your thinking mind. When your rational mind will become more silent, it will be easier for you to hear your intuition and see where it wants to guide you.
For this, we will explore practices like yoga nidra, gentle hatha yoga, yin yoga, aura clearing techniques, and creative inquiries.

Phase 3: Transform Your Obstacles Into Healing
If you want to get to a place where you are able to release the limiting beliefs and negative judgments held in your body to genuinely align with the best part of yourself, that is also possible.
However, we cannot jump into this life-changing work from the first session onwards. For your own safety, I will need to be sure that you are able have all the resources you need prior to start this more challenging part of the process.
Breathwork, Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra, so many energy techniques, and creative investigations can be combined at this stage, for you to grow your ability to fully embody the infinite love that you truly are.
Those practices are more advanced, and they often take more time and more engagement from you, in terms daily practice.
Frequently Asked Questions

If you still feel hesitant about starting this healing process, I encourage you to take some time to feel how the thought of trying one session with me is landing in your body right now.
- If while imagining you booking a session, you feel a contraction inside you: it might not be the right time for you to try this.
- If you feel an opening and a relaxation: you are probably ready to start this healing journey.
Another good way to know if you are ready for this work and if it is for you is to book a free discovery call with me! To do so, please click here.
How many sessions will I need?
The amount of healing sessions you may need will vary depending on your goals.
Healing is often not a linear process. I believe that long-term sustainable change and transformation is a process that does not involve a ‘quick fix’.
Some people come to this healing process for a few sessions to address some very recent emotional or physical challenges. Others come looking to do deeper work around chronic emotional or physical afflictions, which may span over a few months to a year.
Many people return to this healing process from time to time as needed or to take the next step in their personal growth journey.
This healing process will be most effective when you commit to a regular and consistent personal practice.
Generally, sessions occur weekly or fortnightly to begin, but this also depends on what works for you and on the intensity of the challenge you are facing right now. Together, we’ll assess your needs and what is going to work best for you. We’ll continue to check in and discuss our work together as we go.
Choice is an important part of this healing process. This means you can end the healing relationship with me at any time, take a break, or alter the frequency of your sessions.
What is the weekly time commitment?
Ideally, we would meet every other week for 2-hour sessions.
In-between our sessions, I might encourage you to practice with some of the pre-recorded practices available in the free resource’s library of my website. This personal practice is completely optional. If you chose to do it, it will facilitate and speed-up your healing process.
Since all sessions are on Zoom, do I have to be on-camera, or can I have it switched off?
I will ask you to turn your camera on for the entire session. This is for you to gain full benefit of a private session. By seeing your body language, the way you move, and the way you breathe, I will be able to adapt the content of our time together to your unique needs. You can show up with hair askew and even in your pyjamas! I won’t mind this at all!
However, you won’t need to be looking at the screen the entire time of the session. I will actually encourage you not to do so since the entire process is based on an inner exploration. You will probably have your eyes closed or your gaze lowered for most of the time. But I will need to be able to see you.
What can I do to prepare for our time together?
Here are a few things you can do to get the most out of our time together…
Please make sure your environment is as quiet and calm as possible. Be sure you won’t be interrupted by your family, co-workers, pets, incoming emails, or texts.
At least two days before our session, please check the pdf and links that you will have received from me. Then start gathering all your possible props in the room where you will be during our session. This will enable you to have everything ready without the stress of finding your props 10 minutes before we start.
A few minutes before we connect, it can be helpful for you to quiet your mind. You can take a few deep breaths, do some gentle movement or spend a few moments outside in the fresh air.
After our conversation, give yourself a little time and space. Rather than immediately rushing along to your next task or appointment, allow yourself ten to thirty minutes to integrate the full benefits of your session.
Do you offer reduced fees for your healing sessions?
Unfortunately, because I am a private somatic healer, I am not funded by any other means, so I don’t offer reduced fees or payment plans for healing sessions.
If my prices are really over your budget but you still feel that you would love being supported by me, do not hesitate to email me, mentioning what is your main challenge right now. To do so, please click here.
If other people share your challenges, I might be able to offer you small group session exploring this specific need.
Another idea is for you to find someone else you know who would love to do this work with you, explore the same concern, and share the total cost of the sessions between both of you. I will also be opened to this possibility.
What issues or challenges do you not work with?
I will not be able to work with you if you have a history of:
- substance-use disorders
- mental disorders
- Chronic depression with medical conditions
- Chronic panic with medical conditions
- Suicidal thoughts and behaviours.
For those conditions, please seek the help of a mental health professional immediately. I will not be able to support you if you suffer from any of those symptoms, since I am not qualified to do so.
I’m so busy I don’t know I have time or headspace to commit to this healing process, how do I know I can do this?
When we feel overwhelmed, the scariest place to be is in our body. We speed up from one activity to the next, and skip our practice because we are too afraid to land in our body. That is the reason why we spend so much time overthinking: what we cannot feel, we need to overthink. This is also why we feel more tensed, and often experience physical pain in those times: contraction is a natural way to feel less.
Feeling so busy that you don’t know if you have time or headspace to commit to this healing process is simply a sign that your nervous system is in a state of hyperarousal.
This biological reaction is not a mistake. It’s just something to explore. But before being able to dive into this, what you need is to find a pathway into feeling comfortable, at ease, and safe in your body.
This is why, during your first session, you will learn how to reclaim your natural ability to feel good in your body, to rest, and to relax.
What is your cancellation policy on a session if something comes up?
If you cancel your session more than 48 hours in-advance, you will get a full refund, or we will agree to postpone your session at no cost.
If you cancel or postpone your session less than 48 hours, before the time it was originally booked, you won’t get any refund.
Is this healing process the same as therapy, or a replacement of therapy?
No, this healing process is different from therapy and is not a replacement of therapy. These sessions do not involve any mental health aspects, nor medical advice and cannot replace any of those, or any medical treatment.
If you have a history of:
- substance-use disorders
- mental disorders
- chronic depression with medical conditions
- chronic panic with medical conditions
- suicidal thoughts and behaviours.
please seek the help of a mental health professional immediately. I will not be able to support you if you suffer from any of those symptoms, since I am not qualified to do so.
Moreover, these healing sessions are very different from processing your past and present stories through words, like talk therapy often requires. The healing process I offer is based on a spiritual understanding of what healing is all about.
Together we will explore how different styles of yoga, meditation and energy healing can help you meet the challenges you face during and/ or after your practice, with an increased capacity for acceptance, resilience and compassion towards ourselves and others. This is not how a psychotherapist will work.
This process is also somatically based, which means that it’s through attuning more deeply to your physical sensations that the healing will naturally take place, in its own time; not through talking about your history.
This process can change your life, even if you’re thinking…
“I’ve tried therapy before; it never works for me. How is this different?”
This healing process is very different from therapy. It has nothing to do with processing your past and present stories through words, like talk therapy often requires.
Unlike most therapeutic work, this process is not based on analysing your thoughts, beliefs, and stories. Together, we will explore the whole dimension of who you are: not only your thinking mind, but also your body, your energy, and your emotions. If needed, we can also dive into how your elements work together according to Chinese medicine, and rebalance the ones that might not be working for your highest good. We can also reharmonize your chakras, deepen your connection to your aura ect.
Your intuition and your creativity will guide this healing process and help us understand in which dimensions of yourself are the blockages that create challenges in your life.
This process is also somatically based, which means that it’s through attuning more deeply to your physical sensations that the healing will naturally take place, in its own time; not through talking about your past.
It feels so uncomfortable to be in my body right now, my emotions are so intense. I am worried this process will agitate me even more!
Even if this healing process is centred around your body sensations and your feelings, it is very gentle and progressive. If you are feeling very shaky emotionally when you practice yoga, it is normal to feel resistance and even fear to connect with your body. This fear is actually very wise. It’s just telling you that, at the moment, you do not have the right support system to welcome the intensity of your emotions.
These sessions will first help you find, both internally and externally, all the resources that you need to become more and more able to feel at ease in your own skin. It will also respect and honour very carefully your nervous system’ s needs. This is why we will start with exploring how grounding feel like in your body and what allows you to feel grounded. We will also take care of soothing your emotions with few simple energy healing and toning techniques. I can assure you that you will feel much more centred and calmer after your first session!
It’s very scary for me to practice yoga right now, it brought me to very dark places. I don’t want to go there anymore!
I completely understand your resistance, and in this healing process, we will actually honour this wisdom! We will explore only yogic practices that will make you feel good and at ease in your body. We will make sure that you feel completely safe in your own skin.
Together, we will explore how to establish the internal and external support system that you need, to enable you to come back to a centred, grounded and calm state whenever you feel afraid.
When you will have fully integrated all those resources, you will probably feel lighter, more confident in yourself, and comfortable in your body. At that point, you will be able to choose whether you want to explore the fear that was haunting you, when you decided to book your first session. This choice will be entirely yours. You might also find that this fear has fully dissolved, all by itself, simply by learning how to ground and resource yourself.
Which option should I choose?
All new clients are required to book a ‘’first session’’ with me. This will enable me to come to know you, to learn about your unique needs, and to have all the information I need prior to our session. In this way, I will be able to customized the most appropriate healing process for you, to shift the way you feel straight from our first session.
